Privacy

The short version: there are no accounts, no cookies and no ads. Your progress never leaves your browser unless you share it yourself.

What is kept in your browser

The places you marked found, your notes, your own markers, and your language and theme are kept in this browser's local storage. They are not sent to us. Clearing the site's data in your browser, or the Reset button, removes them. Export makes a file of them that only you hold.

Share links and embeds

A share link carries the list of places you found, in the link itself. Whoever opens it sees that list and nothing else about you. An embedded map on another site stores nothing.

What our servers see

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any host, sees your IP address and browser type when it sends you a page. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not follow you between sites. If the map breaks in your browser, a short error report (the error message, the page and the browser type) is sent so that it can be fixed. It holds nothing you typed.

Other services

The Vice City vs Miami page loads the real-world map from a map provider (OpenStreetMap or a similar service), which sees your IP address and the area you look at. No other service is loaded.

Ads

There are no ads and no advertising trackers on this site today. If that changes, this page will change first, and where the law asks for your consent you will be asked before any such script loads.
